Setting Up Your E-mail in Windows Mail
  1. Open Windows Mail by clicking the Start button , clicking All Programs, and then clicking Windows Mail.
  2. Click the Tools menu, and then click Accounts.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Click Email Account and then click Next.
  5. On the first screen, enter your name as you wish it to appear on your outgoing email messages. Click Next to continue.
  6. Enter your email address in the space provided, and then click Next to continue.
  7. For Incoming Mail, select POP from the Account Type list, and enter your information as follows: 

    Incoming mail server (POP3):
    Type pop.activatemedia.com

    Outgoing mail server:
    If your Internet Service Provider (ISP) allows it, you can use the outgoing mail server for your Internet Service Provider. Contact your Internet Service Provider to get this setting. Alternatively you can use smtp.activatemedia.com for your outgoing mail server.

    NOTE: "smtpout.activatemedia.com" is an SMTP relay server. In order to use this server to send e-mails, you must first activate SMTP relay on your e-mail account. Contact us at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to do this. You will also need tick 'Use Authentication' and enter your user name and pasword.

    Click Next to continue.

  8. Enter your email user name (your email address) and password, place a check in the box labeled Remember Password if you don’t want to enter your password each time you check your email, and then click Next.
  9. That’s it! Click Finish.
